This is my version of a very tasty chicken masala..I just gave it a try and it was super yummy it went well with brown pulao..It tasted great with naans too..The recipe is very simple do try this simple yet delish chicken tikka masala.
Ingredients:
1/2 kg boneless chicken
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
3 tbsp curds
salt to taste
2 tomatoes chopped
2 onions sliced
10-12 cashews
1/2 cup beaten curds
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp fenugreek leaves/kasuri methi
oil 3-4 tbsp
Method:
Marinate the chicken with salt,ginger garlic paste,curds,red chilli powder and keep aside for 20-30 min.
In a non stick pan drizzle some oil and place the marinated chicken you can even grill it,cook on med flame till done.
Saute the sliced onions in 1 tbsp oil until brown .
Grind the onion,tomato cashews to a fine paste.
Heat oil in a vessel add the ginger garlic paste saute till raw smell goes off.
Then add the ground paste and saute for few minutes until oil separates.
Mix in the powdered masalas kasuri methi and the beaten curds.
Add the fried chicken and mix well.
Add salt and little water,depending on the consistency of gravy needed.
Cover with the lid and cook on med flame for 7-0 min.
You could add cream if desired .
Serve hot with rice/naan/pulao/bread.

How funny:) I was just asking the man at our local gas station to ask his wife for her recipe for Chicken Tikka Masala, although, he called it something else but understood what I meant. I can't wait to get the recipe to compare, lol...I LOVE the stuff and am seriously thinking of making it. YOurs looks absolutley delicious!
